Accommodation

Having somewhere to live that's comfortable, secure and within easy travelling distance of your campus can make all the difference when you’re studying.

Manchester has a good public transport system, so it’s easy to travel from one area to another. There’s a good supply of rented accommodation in the city, including purpose-built student accommodation.

Manchester Student Homes

The Manchester College works with Manchester Student Homes to arrange accommodation for university and degree level students. Manchester Student Homes is run by the universities in Manchester and their service is free to students. They run an accreditation scheme for landlords who advertise on their website, making sure all the accommodation you’ll find there meets current standards.

You can search for student halls, houses, flats and rooms in houseshares, by price, location and number of bedrooms. Prices for halls can range from about £85-130 per week, while a room in a houseshare can be about £50-£80 per week. Houses for students with children are priced per the whole property rather than by the room. They can range in price from about £140-£195 per week for a three bedroom house.
