Jane’s jewellery brings the ancient to life

Jane Dzisiewski studied on the Foundation Degree in Jewellery and Design Crafts at The Manchester College. She now works from a studio in Manchester Craft and Design Centre and is exhibiting at high profile venues including Yorkshire Sculpture Park. She combines traditional methods with new technologies in her work.

‘My work is born out of a love for the ancient. I’ve created a resin technique which creates intriguing patterns and textures within each piece. I use traditional metalwork and textile methods, alongside new technologies and materials.

I've been selected for an initiative run by Crafts Council UK

‘I have been selected for the Hothouse 2011 North cohort. Hothouse is an initiative run by Crafts Council UK to support emerging makers. Last year’s collective were a very impressive bunch so I feel honoured to have been chosen.’

Jane is one of the founding members and director of Designers Eclectic, a collective of five designers and makers.
