Emma excels in fashion and clothing and returns to teach others

Emma Fazackelry studied on the Foundation Degree in Fashion and Clothing Technology at The Manchester College. She continued on to do her third year at MMU and graduated with a 2:1. She is now studying for a PGCE and producing clothes for children with special needs.

Emma came to the college to study ICT. She progressed on to the National Diploma in Multimedia and passed with merit. She then studied for the Diploma in Foundation Studies in Art and Design alongside an A Level in textiles.

Emma got an A* grade in her A Level and realised that this was the area of most interest to her. She completed a BTEC First Diploma in fashion and then enrolled for the foundation degree.

Emma has returned to The Manchester College as a student teacher

Emma proved to be one of the most creative members of her class. She progressed on to her top up year at Manchester Metropolitan University and graduated with a 2:1.

Emma gained valuable work experience during her second year on the foundation degree, working as a sample machinist at Rajan Group. Since finishing university she has been working from a studio in Ancoats, producing a range of garments designed for children with special needs.

Emma has returned to The Manchester College as a student teacher, supporting classes for BTEC National and foundation degree courses while she studies for her PGCE. She is an excellent example to her students, who really benefit from her creativity.
