I've gained an understanding of mental health - my eyes have been opened.
The Trade Union Education Department provides a wide range of courses for trade union representatives and officials. These courses enable union officials to gain nationally recognised qualifications.
Our courses are run in a friendly and informal environment, and are free to union representatives.
Our day release courses cover subjects including:
- training for workplace learner representatives
- Trades Union Congress (TUC) training for union representatives and stewards
- health and safety
- occupational health for safety representatives
- equality issues
- communication skills
We also run short courses on issues such as:
- equality and diversity
- learning and organising
- employment law
- specialist health and safety
- environmental issues
- international trade unionism
