The Nicholls Community Football Centre was developed in 2005 as a state of the art football facility that would serve the needs of the Manchester College as well as providing support for community clubs and youth groups from the local area. Funded by the Football Foundation, it is a facility that can cater for all football formats including

  • matches
  • coaching
  • coach education courses

The centrepiece of the site is a purpose built Third Generation Football Pitch which can accommodate 11-a-side matches as well as three 7-a-side pitches. The Nicholls Football Centre also has excellent grass pitch provision which can stage 11-a-side matches and coaching sessions.

The Football Centre is open Monday to Sunday and is available for hire.

Cricket Nets

We have three outdoor cricket nets. The main building houses six changing rooms with room for officials and medical staff.

The facility has a coach education suite that can accommodate a range of courses and seminars with IT facilities and white boards.

Fitness Suites

There are six fitness suites located across the college and these are open to students, staff and the public. Our fitness suites offer:

  • modern fitness equipment
  • support from professionally trained and qualified staff
  • inductions
  • fitness testing
  • personal fitness programmes
  • advice and support to achieve your health and fitness objectives

Moston Campus has a spa, including Jacuzzi, sauna and flotation bed. The salon offers a range of hair and beauty treatments supported by trained, qualified staff.

Sports halls are located at Moston and Nicholls Campuses.
