Sports Academies

Are you a talented sportsperson? Are you a hard worker in the classroom as well as on the sports field?

The Manchester College has an established sports academy programme. If you’re chosen for a sports academy you’ll be able to train in your sport alongside your studies.

We run sports academies in:

  • men’s football
  • women’s football
  • men's basketball
  • men's rugby league
  • leadership

If you’re chosen for a sports academy, you’ll be given:

  • kit
  • professional coaching
  • opportunities to compete at regional and national competitions

To join a sports academy you’ll need to:

  • attend a trial
  • be chosen for the sports academy
  • enrol on a full time course at The Manchester College

You don’t have to study on a sports course to be part of a sports academy.

You’re welcome to attend more than one trial.
