The Access Department provides access to higher education diplomas. These courses are for people aged 19 and over who wish to enter higher education but have few formal academic qualifications.

Access courses are designed to prepare students for university study or professional training. Students study their chosen programme along with the learning and study skills that will prepare them for higher level study.

Our Access Department delivers courses at the college’s main sites (St John’s and Nicholls in the city centre, Openshaw in east Manchester, Moston in north Manchester and Northenden in south Manchester), which provide a supportive environment with cutting-edge facilities and extensive learning resources.
