How can we help you?
Before you start your course, you’ll be able to meet with a specialist support worker. They’ll talk to you about the support that might be useful to you.
We can:
- give you a tour of the college
- help you build your confidence and social skills
- help you to be independent
- work with your tutor and your care team, if you have one, to help keep stress and anxiety under control
- work with your mental health support or care team outside college
- give you advice about specialist groups in the community
- give you advice on work and university
- let you know about interesting college activities
- support and advise you on anything else you need help with
How can you get advice and support?
- tell us about your mental health difficulty on your application or enrolment form
- if you’re on a course, ask your tutor or student services team to refer you to the disability service
- email us at disabilityservice@themanchestercollege.ac.uk
