Fees and finance - school leavers

If you're age 16-18 you won't have to pay any course or exam fees at The Manchester College.

There may be some things you’ll need to pay for, like travel or childcare.

If your household income is below £16,190 per year, you may be eligible to apply for support.

The Manchester College SLA fund covers:

  • travel
  • food
  • identified desirable kit and equipment
  • trips and visits relating to your course

Care to Learn - up to £160 per child per week for childcare

If you’re a young parent (age 16-19), Care to Learn can help pay for

  • childcare
  • travel costs that are linked to childcare

while you’re learning.
