Students get their A level results on live TV!

Watch students at The Manchester College open their A level results on ITV's Daybreak programme. Two students at The Manchester College found out on live TV that they'd achieved three A grades. The programme includes useful advice on Clearing and what to do if you don’t get the grades you want.

The atmosphere was tense as Jasmine Brown and Mahsa Borjipour opened the brown envelopes containing their results. 500 students at The Manchester College will get their results today, but a few also volunteered to read out the contents of their envelopes live on TV.

Mahsa achieved A grades in maths, biology and chemistry. Jasmine achieved A grades in physics, maths and chemistry.

It’s been hard work, but you receive lots of support, including extra tuition if you need it. If you are willing to put the work in, you will see the results you deserve

Jasmine, who has the grades she needs to study physics at the University of Southampton, was interviewed for the college website earlier this year. Jasmine said she would work hard to get good results and was pleased with the support she was receiving from the college:

‘It's been hard work, but you receive lots of support, including extra tuition if you need it. If you are willing to put the work in, you will see the results you deserve.’

The Daybreak programme’s expert team gave advice on the many options there are if you haven’t got the results you wanted.

Congratulations to all students getting their A level results today!

You can watch a clip from the show below or here. Our students begin to open their results 4 minutes and 40 seconds into the clip.
