Students broadcast music show live on the web

BTEC Interactive Media Extended Diploma students at The Manchester College will be presenting a live Internet broadcast titled 'Mancunian Way' at noon on 15th April.

Mancunian Way will showcase local talent and celebrate the varied music of Manchester, as well as featuring an interactive online chat with the audience.

The show will feature live performances from The 3 Sprits (rock), Christine Johnson (folk), Scot Dawson (dubstep) as well as interviews with the artists. The show will also features music videos created by the students in collaboration with artists, Lil Teasha (dubstep), I Said The Spy (rock) and Brad Wilde (rock).

The students, who are based at the Northenden Campus, have been working in collaboration with Lets Go Global TV studios and Seed Music studios. Website hosting is being provided by Weebly, an online journal/blogging service, and the live steam is provided by uStream, a video streaming/chat service.
