The Manchester College Sports Academies are pleased to announce that we will be hosting open trials in February.
The established sports academy programme allows students to train in their chosen sport alongside their studies, even if they are not on a sports course. The college runs men’s football, women’s football, men’s basketball, men’s rugby league and leadership (male and female) academies.
Students selected for the sports academies will receive kit and opportunities to compete in regional and national competitions
Paul Bright, sport academy manager said: “We have some fantastic links set up at The Manchester College Sport Academy with FC United of Manchester, Manchester City Football Club, The Amaechi Basketball Centre and Mancunians Rugby League Club, ensuring that students receive the very highest levels of coaching.”
Paul concluded: “All students selected for the sports academies will receive kit, and opportunities to compete and display their skills in regional and national league and cup competitions. “
Last year The Manchester College Sports Academies produced a number of successful sportsmen and women including Michael Taylor who attended the English Schools National Football Trials.
