An IRTEC candidate at The Manchester College has received an award at the Commercial Vehicle Show 2011 for outstanding performance. James Acott achieved the highest ever recorded score for the IRTEC Service Maintenance Technician Assessment, which he completed at the college.
James, an employee of WM Morrison PLC, was presented with the award and a selection of hand tools by the Society of Operations Engineers.
The Manchester College has been working with Morrisons supermarkets since June 2010 and has accredited 69 of their engineering employees through the IRTEC scheme.
IRTEC is an independent and renewable accreditation scheme that assesses the competence of technicians working in the commercial vehicle, trailer and passenger carrying industries.
