The Manchester College is launching a new record label – We are FuturEcho – at the music industry's main networking event 'South by South West' (SXSW).

We Are FuturEcho is being set up and run by first year students from the college’s Foundation Degree in Music and New Media Management. The first product for the label is a double CD compilation album showcasing the best of new up and coming music from a range of genres. 

Students will be promoting both the artists on the compilation and the record label to the wider music industry locally, nationally and internationally at events such as SXSW in Austin, Texas.

The formal launch for the label will be in May, at a music industry seminar event planned, promoted and managed by the students on the course.
