‘When I arrived in the UK, although I had studied English language in my hometown, it was difficult for me to understand the spoken language. The Manchester College provided English language courses and one-to-one tutorials to help me improve my English. Staff from the student information point helped me to check my visa application form carefully.

‘I strongly recommend The Manchester College if you are ready to study for a degree. You will be taught using the same materials as at university but with much more support. You might find that you don’t have the chance of a one-to-one tutorial with a lecturer at university – they are always busy. However, all The Manchester College lecturers are willing to chat and help you. They are all qualified and professional.
‘The tuition fees are cheaper at The Manchester College but you will study the same materials as university students.

‘In the future, I plan to go back to China to help businesses there. I have been extremely fortunate, having the opportunities to make friends throughout the world and experience the values and traditions of many different cultures. These experiences have made me a rounded individual, appreciative of the needs of others, and I believe I have the attributes needed to manage business in China.
Ming Lin hopes to stay in touch with his tutors at The Manchester College.
