A Manchester model agency has used designs by fashion students at The Manchester College in a photo shoot. The shoot in France featured shirts produced on the BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Fashion and Clothing.
Fashion tutor, Karen Monaghan, contacted Maverick Model Agency to ask if they were interested in working with The Manchester College. The agency were so impressed by the students’ work they decided to include their garments in a shoot by photographer Jay Mawson.

The shoot took place in Tremolo, a picturesque village in Southern France. The agency featured their trainee models in the shoot in order to build their portfolio. The models wore shirts produced by a BTEC Fashion and Clothing group from The Manchester College’s Moston campus.
Students were asked to research an artist and designer for inspiration and, together with trend colour predictions, they came up with contemporary ideas and designs for manipulated/embellished black shirts.
