The vibrant, city centre Shena Simon Campus specialises in the performing arts and media. Courses include
  • acting, dance and musical theatre

  • English as an Additional Language (EAL) courses for 16-19s
The Grade 2 listed building houses state of the art facilities and equipment, including
  • rehearsal rooms and recording studios, equipped with instruments and mixing/recording equipment
  • IT suites designed for music and media production
  • DJ skills booths
  • photography studios and a darkroom
  • two theatres – the Waterside Theatre and the Sackville Theatre
  • a threatre set production workshop

  • a reference library for art and design, as well as a fully stocked learning resource centre

Waterside Theatre and Sackville Theatre

Performing arts students create shows that the whole community can attend. Peformances take place in the Waterside Theatre and the Sackville Theatre, both located at the Shena Simon Campus, and are advertised on our events page.

The Shena Simon Campus benefits from a lively and convenient location in the centre of Manchester, close to shops, bars and restaurants, and transport links. Sackville Street Gardens next to the campus is a leafy city centre oasis that complements the Victorian architecture of the building and creates a tranquil environment.

The Reception is open

  • Monday and Wednesday: 8.30am-7.30pm
  • Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8.30am-4.30pm
