Local area

Shena Simon Campus is a Grade II listed building in a lively and beautiful part of the city centre. Whitworth Gardens, also known as Sackville Park, is a leafy urban oasis next to the campus. Shena Simon is surrounded by university buildings, giving 16-18 year olds a window into student life. The streets around the campus have lots of interesting architecture in the ornate style of the textile industry.

Manchester’s central bus station and Piccadilly and Oxford Road train stations are a few minutes’ walk from the campus. The National Express coach station is just around the corner.

Shena Simon has the benefit of all the city centre’s attractions. It is particularly close to Chinatown and the Cornerhouse gallery and arts cinema.
