The Forum Learning centre specialises in courses for adults. Courses can include software skills, business and IT, driver education and working with children. The centre is run in partnership with Manchester Adult Education Services and Manchester Libraries.
Forum Learning is at the Forum, a centre of facilities for the community. These include a library, leisure centre, nursery, café, health centre and pharmacy. The centre is in Wythenshawe civic centre, a few minutes walk from shops, a supermarket, fast food chains and a post office. The Forum has its own green space and places to sit outside.
In 2005, the City Council ‘employed’ 1000 weevils to eat a pond fern in nearby Park Wood. This was an environmentally friendly way of getting rid of the fern, which was killing wildlife in the pond.
