The Centre for Music is a specialist campus with sound-proofed rehearsal spaces and extensive studio equipment. Courses include popular music, music performance, music industry management, production and technology. Part time, full time, evening and short courses are available.

You couldn’t be better placed to immerse yourself in the world of music! The Centre for Music is in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, an area well known for creativity and alternative culture. There are at least ten legendary music venues within minutes of the campus, including Band on the Wall, Night and Day Café and Ruby Lounge. Fans of jazz and blues can see live acts most nights at Matt and Phreds.
The Northern Quarter is well known for its independent record shops, many of which buy and sell rare music in different formats. Shops such as Vinyl Exchange and Piccadilly Records are a haven for DJs.
The Northern Quarter is full of mosaics. Look out for poetry by Lemn Sissay spelled out in pavement tiles and 40 wall mosaics of aliens.

The Centre for Music is close to Piccadilly bus station, so can be reached from all bus routes into the city centre.
The campus is close to Shudehill, Market Street and Piccadilly Gardens Metrolink (tram) stations
The Centre for Music is walking distance from Piccadilly and Victoria train stations.
Parking is very limited but there is an NCP car park close by and several pay and display parking bays.
