Live radio debates on North Manchester FM
Radio production students hosted a series of live debates on North Manchester FM (NMFM 106.6). Students each presented a 15 minute debate and brought in two guests to give either side of the argument. The debates were on subjects such as:
FC United's new stadium in north Manchester
Racism among Premier League footballers
Airbrushing in magazines and how the 'perfect' male or female image affects us
Social networking sites
Gaming
Minimum alcohol pricing
Spending taxpayers' money in the recession
NMFM is affiliated to The Manchester College and the community in north Manchester. Listeners in north Manchester can listen on analogue radio. Anyone can listen online at http://www.northmanchesterfm.org/
The debates were hosted by second year students on the Foundation Degree in Radio Production.
