Emphasis is placed upon the development of professional working practices, complementing students' evolving skills as photographers. The course allows the flexibility to develop a personal programme of industry-related study. Students are encouraged to access other digital technologies as part of their studies and to develop conceptual thinking, critical analysis, creative problem solving and technical skills. Subjects covered include: - Digital photographic practice - Image manipulation techniques - Photographic genres - Art direction for photography - Personal portfolio development - Professional practices and procedures - Cultural history and design practice
Students' work is assessed by at least two tutors using criteria which vary according to the brief. Students will develop a personal portfolio, representing their specialist interests, derived from, and based on, their studies.
