What's the 3D Visualisation course about?

This course is aimed at those employed in or aspiring to work in architectural design, interior design, and product design, producing visuals of buildings, interiors, and products. It is now becoming part of the job specification for people employed in these industries to be able to produce high-end visualisations for their clients. In addition, there is a growing need for specialists in the field of visualisation work.

- 3D environment animation
- Photo realistic 3D rendering
- Business skills
- Copyright and digital asset management

The course is assessed through assignments and project work across a range of units throughout the course. The final assessment will include a portfolio presentation and critique of work produced.

What will I be able to do after I've completed this course?

This course will help students succeed in a visualisation role in the industry of their choice. It will also enable students to progress to the second or third year of a compatible honours degree at the University of Bolton.

What qualifications or experience do I need to do this course?

Entry will be based on a portfolio of evidence and/or experience. Applicants will normally have a level 3 qualification (for example, A Levels or a BTEC National Diploma). A good standard of literacy is also required. Minimum UCAS tariff points required: 120.
