What's the Computer Maintenance and System Support course about?
This flexible training programme has been designed by employers to meet the needs of today's businesses because no two organisations are the same in the way they use IT in the industry, and the IT skills of each employee are different. This course will ensure that employers get the right person for the right job by equipping individuals with relevant and effective computer maintenance and system support skills. The training needs analysis technique we use identifies any skills gaps in your work force and targets individuals' training requirements. The course framework is continually being updated so you can rely on computer maintenance skills keeping pace with the developing technology of today and tomorrow.

You will be assessed under NVQ guidelines, which include building a portfolio of evidence and underpinning knowledge end tests.
What will I be able to do after I've completed this course?
On successful completion of this course there are a number of opportunities for further study, including progressing through the ITQ NVQ levels. It can also lead to career progression within the IT support sector.

What qualifications or experience do I need to do this course?
There are no formal entry requirements for this course but applicants must be using IT in their current job role and have a reasonable level of IT literacy.
Which qualification will I be awarded if I successfully complete the Computer Maintenance and System Support course?
You will be awarded the City & Guilds ITQ Computer Maintenance and System Support at Level 2 (Intermediate).
