What's the Cisco PNIE - Communication Cabling course about?

The Panduit Network Infrastructure Essentials (PNIE) course delivers innovative network infrastructure solutions with real-world experience to prepare for future certifications. This course aligns to the Panduit authorised installer (PIA) global certification and covers basic cable installer knowledge and how to build and administrate the physical layer of network infrastructure, and it gives a deeper understanding of the networking devices that this layer interconnects.
Areas covered by the course include: - Cabling and safety - Networking basics - Signals and wires - Fibre-optic media - Cabling standards - Structured cabling - Tools of the trade - Cabling installation - Cabling rough-in - Trim out phase - Finish phase
The course will be assessed using online assessments, and practical assignments.

What will I be able to do after I've completed this course?

On completion of the Cisco PNIE, students may wish to consider going on to do the Cisco CCNA, and later Cisco CCNP.
