What's the CCNA - IT Professionals (ICT Systems Support) course about?
This course provides a broad knowledge of hardware and operating system technologies and includes practical experience of installation, configuration, diagnostics, preventive maintenance and basic networking. Designed with the needs of employers in mind, the qualification offers candidates the chance to take vendor specific certification with CISCO.
The course covers the following:
- Customer support
- Networking for home and small businesses
- Working at a small-to-medium business or ISP
- Introducing routing and switching in the enterprise
- Designing and supporting computer networks
The course is assessed by online examination and assessment of practical ability via a practical demonstration/assignment.
What will I be able to do after I've completed this course?
On successful completion of the course there are further opportunities for study at level 4 or above, including, the Microsoft qualification, CCNP, CCSP or a foundation degree in computers or security. The course could also lead to career opportunities as a business analyst, computer hardware engineer, computer network engineer, project manager or systems analyst.
What qualifications or experience do I need to do this course?
Applicants should possess a recognised level 2 qualification in computer maintenance or networking.
Which qualification will I be awarded if I successfully complete the CCNA - IT Professionals (ICT Systems Support) course?
Students will be awarded the Advanced Diploma for IT Professionals (ICT Systems Support) at Level 3 by City & Guilds and certification from Cisco as an additional bonus. Candidates will be able to take their CCNA exams internally at our premises.
