What's the course about?
This course provides broad knowledge of hardware and operating system technologies and includes practical experience of installation, configuration, diagnostics, preventive maintenance and basic networking. Designed with the needs of employers in mind, the qualification offers candidates the chance to take vendor specific certification with CISCO.
Semester 2 incorporates:
- The Internet and its uses
- Help desk
- Planning a network upgrade
- Planning the addressing structure
- Configuring network devices
- Routing
- ISP services
- ISP responsibility
The course is assessed by online examination and via a practical demonstration/assignment.
What will I be able to do after I've completed this course?
You could progress to CCNA 2: Introducing Routing and Switching in the Enterprise.
