What's the 3D Modelling Using 3DS Max course about?

This course focuses on the features and processes associated with creating digital images in 3D. Candidates will explore the parameters for stylising and the key factors that determine the production of a 3D form within a model.
Areas covered by the course include: - 3D computer modelling software: principle functions and tools - Technical features: structural systems associated with the shape and form of 3D imaging - Texturing and lighting techniques - Animated computer software for use with video presentation media - Picture board skills
The course will be delivered through lectures, demonstrations and handouts. Students will present a portfolio of work, which should include a 3D image for a media solution, examples of 3D models and evidence of planning and development and note books recording evaluative statements.

What will I be able to do after I've completed this course?

On successful completion of this course there are numerous opportunities for further study on higher education programmes. Alternatively, students will have learnt specialist and transferable skills and knowledge that will enable them to find employment in the creative industries.
