The School is one of Manchester’s leading high schools. It is a Roman Catholic High School where pupils are encouraged to live their faith and to lead purposeful lives. Main duties include:-
1. To work collaboratively with all staff, pupils and parents in order to support student well-being and to promote the five outcomes of Every Child Matters
2. To provide support in a specific curriculum or resource area, including preparation and maintenance of resources and to provide general support to staff and pupils
3. To make a key contribution to the development and support of the department and the school through the provision of the departmental service
4. To utilise the specialist skills and training provided by the college in support of the Apprenticeship role
5. To create and maintain purposeful, orderly and productive working environment within the specific curriculum or resource area
6. To be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, security and confidentiality, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person as soon as they arise
7. To attend and participate in regular meetings
8. To work as part of a team to support colleagues and contribute towards the overall ethos, work and aims of the school
