A unique opportunity has arisen to be part of a growing family business in the role of Apprentice Sales & Marketing Assistant. The apprenticeship scheme offers the opportunity to work towards a QCS in Marketing & Communications. The position is full time hours, Monday to Friday, with the opportunity to attend college 1 day per month.

We are an online audio visual reseller, with a successful website selling a wide range of audio visual products. We also offer AV consultation, AV Installation and full conference and event support. We are looking for a hard working and enthusiastic individual to join our family firm in the position of Sales & Marketing administrator.

The role has a marketing focus, is varied and you will be involved in many aspect of sales and marketing support. In this position the successful candidate will contribute to the development of the company sales & marketing administration activities.

Maintaining & Manipulating the customer database.

Cleansing the customer database on our CRM systems and maintaining up to date records.

Providing support to the sales team for customer relations development.

Utilising our CRM database to provide the sales team with customers to target for potential growth.

Create new business leads and organise follow-up activities for the sales team.

Customer research.

Researching clients to look for sales opportunities for the sales team.

Competitive Analysis.

Researching competitors’ websites to look for things such as product pricing, website functionality and other relevant information.

Product research and development.

Assisting the with development of the website, you may be involved in researching new product ranges, website uploads & product maintenance.

Copywriting for the company blog & website
Newsletters, promotions etc
Managing Social Media (Twitter, Facebook, Flikr etc)
Writing daily status updates.

Growing our “followers”.

Keeping on top of changes to social media to ensure that we stay ahead of our competition.

Assistance with the preparation and sending of HTML e-mail mail shots, snail mail where applicable and other marketing literature.

Actively support the preparation or promotions, exhibition events etc.

Answer and direct telephone enquiries when needed.
Any other ad hoc duties.

Skills required: 
IT Literate (Microsoft office skills but in particular Excel skills are essential) Be confident with web browsing and online research Ability to utilise the Web to promote and advertise company brand, products and services Commercial acumen Excellent communication skills especially in written English and spelling Excellent telephone manner Excellent attention to detail
