Chloe's apprenticeship could lead to an eventful career

Chloe Stott, 18, from Bolton, is an apprentice in creative and cultural practice at The Manchester College. She's following the live events and promotion 'pathway'. Chloe would like to organise charity events in the future. She says The Manchester College has helped her towards a good career by giving her experience and a recognised qualification.

Chloe went to St James’s CofE School and Sports College in Farnworth. Before starting her apprenticeship, she worked at a pub and a football stadium.

Chloe is now doing an apprenticeship in creative and cultural practice, following the live events and promotion pathway.

My advice to anyone considering an apprenticeship would be "do it"!

‘My typical week is four days at work and one day at college. I work at Marketing Manchester, a marketing agency that promotes the city of Manchester. I do a lot of administrative work and usually attend one event a week at least. Mostly, I work towards larger events which take longer to organise.

‘I want to work in events in the future, probably at a charity. The Manchester College has helped me a lot by giving me experience and a qualification.

‘My advice to anyone thinking of doing an apprenticeship would be “do it, definitely”!’
