What's the Web Design Fundamentals course about?

Attendees on this course will learn the fundamentals of Web Standards website design. At the end of the course you should be able to design, build and upload a simple site design using XHTML/HTML and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets).

Areas covered by the course include:
- Overview of how the web works
- Web terminology
- Overview of the web design process
- How to construct a web page that validates to WC3 standards
- Introduction to using CSS for layout
- Introduction to Dreamweaver
- Domain registration, Hosting and FTP

What will I be able to do after I've completed this course?

You could go on to do the Website Design course at intermediate level.

What qualifications or experience do I need to do this course?

As a minimum applicants should have basic IT skills and be comfortable typing, working with and saving files.

Which qualification will I be awarded if I successfully complete the Web Design Fundamentals course?

There is no requirement to undertake an assessment with this skills based course. All delegates will receive a certificate of skills validation.
