This training course provides the underpinning knowledge to support the use of the telephone for professional selling. Delegates will learn how to manage calls, build and maintain relationships with prospects and ask questions to increase sales. Delegates will also learn about gaining feedback from customers, addressing rejection, resolving objections, and closing a sale.
The course covers the following:
- Introducing selling
- Customer care
- Benefits of using the telephone
- Planning the sales calls
- Dealing with objections
- The close
- The importance of 'follow up'
The course is delivered through a mixture of discussion, group work and role play. Course activities are designed to impart skills and knowledge by having participants work through real-life examples and scenarios.
There is an opportunity to progress through the Sales NVQ qualification.
The course is designed for employees that are currently involved with telephone-based relationships such as: salespeople, customer service or support staff where sales opportunities arise during the normal working day.
This course does not lead to a formal qualification.
