What's the Safe Use of Pesticides course about?

This course covers all the relevant legislation, heath and safety, application and storage for the safe use of pesticides.

This course covers:
- PA1, foundation unit in the safe use of pesticides
- PA6a, hand held applications

An external examiner from NPTC will test you on your PA1 pesticide knowledge using a multiple choice test on the computer. The test for the PA6a element is an observed practical.

What will I be able to do after I've completed this course?

When applying for jobs in horticulture, the award will be an advantage.

What qualifications or experience do I need to do this course?

It would be an advantage to be familiar with using a computer and have basic maths skills.

Which qualification will I be awarded if I successfully complete the Safe Use of Pesticides course?

Upon successful completion of the course you will be awarded the Safe Use of Pesticides NPTC Award PA1 and PA6a.
