What's the PRINCE2® Practitioner Conversion course about?
Following on from the PRINCE2® Foundation course, the Practitioner course takes the theory learned at Foundation level, and looks at putting it into practice. This instructor-led seminar provides delegates with the knowledge and skills to be able to apply PRINCE2® to the running and managing of a project within an environment supporting PRINCE2®.
Course outline
- Review of the structure of PRINCE2®, concentrating on the eight processes and how they are used during the life of a project
- Review of the components and how they are applied during the project
- Review of each of the techniques including product based planning exercises
Practical Application of PRINCE2®
- Applying PRINCE2® to different project situations and sizes of project
- Group and individual exercises to use PRINCE2® to solve different project issues
- Developing an approach to risk management
- Product based planning examples and exercises
- Exam preparation and PRINCE2® Practitioner exam
What will I be able to do after I've completed this course?
After completion, this programme will enable your organisation to:
- Boast staff who have a continued and refreshed education in project management
- Make use of a widely recognised and practised project management method that is: repeatable enabling learning through experience, teachable - enabling learning through training, and built on years of experience
- Take advantage of a project management method that uses the concept of management by exception, allowing senior management involvement, as and when needed
- Operate with good communication channels between the project and the rest of the organisation
- Regularly review the progress against the plan with automatic management control of deviation
- Frequently review the business case to confirm continuing project viability
After completion, this programme will enable the delegate to:
- Have a refreshed knowledge on the tried and trusted PRINCE2® project management method
- Feel prepared for the Practitioner examinations, which lead to the widely recognised PRINCE2® Registered Practitioner qualification
What qualifications or experience do I need to do this course?
This course is designed for project managers and project team members who hold the Foundation Certificate in PRINCE2®.
Which qualification will I be awarded if I successfully complete the PRINCE2® Practitioner Conversion course?
Successful candidates will be awarded the qualification of Registered PRINCE2® Practitioner (Association for Project Management Group Ltd). The Certificate is an internationally recognised qualification in PRINCE2®.
The PRINCE2® courses are offered in association with SPOCE Project Management Limited. PRINCE2® is a Registered Trade Mark of the Office of Government Commerce in the United Kingdom and other countries.
