The PRINCE2® Foundation qualification is the first of two PRINCE2® qualifications required to become a PRINCE2® Practitioner. Aimed at both new and experienced project staff, this instructor-led course equips individuals with a detailed knowledge of the PRINCE2® method, how it works and where each role fits into the project , enabling them to act as an informed member of a project management team.
Course outline:
- Business Case: an approach to the development of the business case
- Organisation: establishing an effective organisation structure for the project
- Plans: these are the backbone of any management information system of a project and should comprehensively identify products, activities and required resources
- Controls: establishing the decision making framework that will operate across the project organisation structure
- Management of risk: identifying and controlling risks so that the project is kept on track and will conclude successfully
- Quality in a project environment: defining quality management and the elements that it comprises
- Configuration Management: managing the assets of the project
- Change Control: capture, log and manage all requested changes
- Exam preparation and PRINCE2® Foundation exam
On successful completion of this course, you may progress onto our PRINCE2® Practitioner - Conversion course.
This course is designed for managers newly appointed to project roles or those wishing to gain a formal qualification. People involved in project support or assurance roles, team managers and project board members or team members aspiring to a more senior role would all find the programme applicable.
Successful candidates will be awarded PRINCE2® Foundation accreditation (Association for Project Management Group Ltd).
The PRINCE2® courses are offered in association with SPOCE Project Management Limited. PRINCE2® is a Registered Trade Mark of the Office of Government Commerce in the United Kingdom and other countries.
