There is often confusion in managers' minds about the difference between allocation and delegation of work and about the purposes and processes of delegation. When used effectively and consistently, it can be a powerful tool in the overall effectiveness of the team in both the short and long terms.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Use an understanding of the team's knowledge and skills to allocate work
- Brief people on the work being allocated
- Monitor and review allocated tasks
- Use delegation to empower and develop staff
- Provide support on delegated tasks
A hands-on approach is taken during this course. The exercises are designed to impart relevant skills and knowledge by having participants work through real-life examples and scenarios.
We offer a range of management courses from ILM awards and certificates to foundation degrees and the Professional Diploma in Management Studies. We also have an extensive range of short courses for managers and professionals to complement this course.
This course is aimed at anyone with responsibility for the allocation and delegation of work.
This course does not lead to any formal qualifications.
