What's the Paediatric First Aid course about?

This course is aimed at anyone who works with early years children, nurseries and pre-school classes. It offers bespoke training in paediatric first aid which can be developed to suit the requirements of the client.

Please note, this course can be delivered on client premises and group rates are available on request.

Elements of the course can include:
- Activities needed to identify the nature and possible extent of injuries or damage sustained in incidents involving children
- Range of first aid activities appropriate to such incidents in order to arrive at a balanced decision
- How to get emergency help when required
- Procedures to deal with an unconscious child
- Evaluation and use of the contents of a first aid kit suitable for use with children
- Procedures in the event of an incident occurring in a calm and reassuring manner
- An understanding of how to convey information in an appropriate manner to respective parties
- The recording of accurate information concerning first aid situations
