The aim of this course is to enable students to carry out a number of functions using SQL 1.

- SQL*Plus Control Parameters
- Producing Reports with SQL*Plus
- Creating and Changing Tables and Views
- Constraints and Indexes
- Inserting, Updating and Deleting Data
- Basic Transaction Control
- Controlling Access to the Database
- Related Data Dictionary Tables and Views
The course is delivered through lectures and workshops and it is assessed on an end test.
On completion of this course, delegates could go on to study on the Oracle SQL Data Administration (Advanced) course at Manchester NTI. The Oracle SQL Fundamentals course can enhance the career opportunities of junior database developers.
Delegates should have a basic knowledge of IT.
There is no requirement to undertake an assessment with this skills based course. All delegates will receive a certificate of skills validation from The Manchester College.
