What's the Managing Stress in the Workplace course about?

All work has the potential to turn stressful at times and often the most stress falls on managers, who must therefore be able to recognise the signs and symptoms in themselves and others and take preventive action to minimise stress and its effects. They must be aware of the range of techniques for this, understand their organisation's policies and know when and how to refer to specialists.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the causes and impacts of stress in an organisation
- Work to reduce those causes
- Spot signs and symptoms of stress in themselves and others
- Describe a range of stress management techniques and how/when they might be applied
- Understand the principles of counselling
- Provide support to team members suffering stress

Our courses incorporate the best of experiential teaching and learning methods, including participatory exercises, games and activities to keep you energised, engaged and informed throughout the day.
