The Level 1 Certificate for IT Users (ITQ1) is the latest qualification for people who want to access jobs using a computer, whether in an ICT role or in an administration role, across all occupations and sectors of employment. This course is designed for people with limited computer skills who want to learn the basics of IT. The areas of study are highly relevant to industry and the course incorporates Microsoft Office units as options.
To achieve the City & Guilds Level 1 Certificate for IT Users qualification candidates will the following units:
- Improving productivity using IT
- Presentation software
- Word processing software
- Spreadsheet software
- IT software fundamentals
Candidates will create a portfolio of evidence by completing scenarios or timed assessments.
After studying this course, opportunities exist to progress on to the Level 2 Certificate for IT Users (ITQ2).
No formal qualifications are required, but a basic familiarity with the keyboard and mouse are expected.
You will be awarded a City & Guilds Level 1 Certificate for IT Users (ITQ1).
As the definition of full time and part time can vary from course to course, please check with the tutor as to the exact number of hours study each week this course will entail.
