This assessment proves current competence in the inspection of heavy vehicles or buses and coaches. A two hour training session will take place before the assessment which is included in the price of this course.
The assessment focuses on:
- A full vehicle inspection carried out to VOSA standards within an agreed timeframe
- An online test on OCRS and VOSA standards
You will complete a 1.5 hour practical assessment and an online test.
After completing this assessment you could progress to the irtec Advanced Technician assessment.
This assessment will help you develop personal and professional skills and prove professional competence. Candidates need to be working in the industry in order to apply for this course.
You will need an industry relevant level 3 qualification or three years' industry experience.
Upon successful completion of the assessment you will be awarded the irtec Inspection Technician Licence valid for five years and entry onto the irtec register of accredited technicians.
As the definition of full time and part time can vary from course to course, please check with the tutor as to the exact number of hours study each week this course will entail.
