This course will demonstrate how to create applications on the iPhone/iPod Touch using Objective C which enable you to create and sell your own applications on Apple's App Store.
The course covers the following:
- Introduction to the iPhone
- XCode and interface builder
- Views and controllers
- Objective C introduction
- Classes, messaging, memory management, instantiation, functions, inheritance, OOP
- Interface Builder integration
- Project development using XCode and deployment to iPhone Simulator
- How to become a registered developer and deploy applications to App Store
Assessment is by course attendance and completion of practical projects within class.
On completion of this course, you are encouraged to move onto more advanced iPhone development courses such as the iPhone / iPod Touch games development course.
An understanding of computer programming, in particularly C or C++ would be beneficial, although not a necessary requirement. Experience of Apple Macs and PCs would prove useful.
This is a short course and does not lead to a formal qualification.
As the definition of full time and part time can vary from course to course, please check with the tutor as to the exact number of hours study each week this course will entail.
