This course aims to increase your productivity by providing the skills and knowledge needed to use Sage Line 50 to basic standard.
There are no formal entry requirements but this introductory course is primarily designed for:
- Delegates who are new to computerised accounts and who wish to acquire appropriate skills and knowledge
- Delegates whose role is changing to include involvement with computerised accounts
- Delegates who wish to return to working in a computerised accounts environment and need to update their skills and knowledge
- Delegates who are studying bookkeeping or accountancy and wish to learn about computerised accounts
The course covers the following:
- Sales ledger; customer records, sales invoices, sales credit notes and sales receipts
- Purchase ledger; supplier records, supplier invoices, supplier credit notes and supplier payments
- Nominal ledger; a record of all the financial dealings within your company and various reports related to the nominal ledger
- Bank; processing monies
- Sage environment; setting up a company, maintaining computer security, understanding health and safety, backing up and restoring data
There is no formal assessment on this course.
After successfully completing this course, you can progress on to the Intermediate Sage Line 50 (Computerised Accounts) course.
No formal qualifications are required. However, we recommend students meet the following criteria:
- Are familiar with the computer keyboard
- Have basic numeracy skills
- Non native speakers of English should have, as a minimum, English skills to intermediate level
This is a short course and does not lead to any formal qualifications.
As the definition of full time and part time can vary from course to course, please check with the tutor as to the exact number of hours study each week this course will entail.
