The business journals tell us that the differentiating factor in businesses facing today's challenges is the quality of leadership which keeps employees focussed and committed to achieving the organisation's goals. Leadership is a personal skill which can be developed through an understanding of qualities and styles that match the individual and the organisational culture and guidance on when and where to use those styles.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Differences and similarities between leadership and management
- Leadership qualities
- Leadership styles
- The effects of styles and behaviours on others
- A range of leadership models and their uses
- Developing personal leadership styles and behaviours
Our courses incorporate the best of experiential teaching and learning methods, including participatory exercises, games and activities to keep you energised, engaged and informed throughout the day.
We offer a range of management courses from ILM awards and certificates to foundation degrees and the Professional Diploma in Management Studies. We also have an extensive range of short courses for managers and professionals to complement this course.
This course is aimed at supervisors and managers who wish to develop leadership traits.
This course does not lead to any formal qualifications.
