This course aims to provide students with a foundation of basic design and workshop skills in order to produce interesting and wearable jewellery fabricated in precious metals.
Core skills taught include:
- The use of sheet
- Wire
- Surface texture
- Construction of pendants
- Construction of earrings
- Construction of bracelets
- Construction of brooches
There is no formal assessment but feedback is given on throughout the course to aid and ensure quality of learning.
On successful completion of this course you will have be able to progress on to higher level courses.
There are no formal entry qualifications but an aptitude towards practical subjects is an advantage.
There is no formal qualification but the work produced could be used in a portfolio for progression to higher level courses.
As the definition of full time and part time can vary from course to course, please check with the tutor as to the exact number of hours study each week this course will entail.
