The aim of the course is to train candidates on modern anti lock braking systems (ABS) and electronic braking systems (EBS) used in modern heavy vehicles and bus and coaches.
The course covers the following areas:
- Introduction to EBS
- Linking early ABS systems to EBS systems, detail system components and locations
- Practical application of the EBS system
- Workshop activities to include fault finding, repair methods and correct diagnostic procedures
- Using computer diagnostics to diagnose EBS systems which includes reading faults and measuring system parameters to provide accurate diagnosis
The course is assessed via on online test.
On successful completion of the course you can progress onto our Canbus and Multiplexing Systems or Engine Management Systems short courses.
You should be working in the heavy vehicle or bus and coach industry.
You will be awarded a College Certificate. The course is accredited by the Society of Operations Engineers (SOE) so will be recognised as a CPD course.
