This course is aimed at employees who wish to undertake such training for the purposes of vocational progression and also to allow the employer to meet the requirement of health and safety regulations.
Please note, this course can be delivered on client premises and group rates are available on request.
On completion delegates will be able to:
- Understand the relevance of health and safety legislation
- Understand the importance of safe working practice
- Understand the term risk assessment and its requirement
- Define the terms hazard, risk and danger and identify these in the workplace
- Understand the basic hazards such as machinery, noise, fire and hazardous substances
- Understand the factors of human behaviour that affect attitudes towards health and safety in a workplace
The course is assessed through a multi-choice test paper.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
On completion delegates will be awarded an NCFE certificate.
