Areas studied include:
- Overview of facilities management (FM)
- Managing health and safety in their own area of FM
- Facilities Management projects
- Sustainability and environmental issues and their impact on FM
- Risk assessment in FM
- Managing customer service within FM
The course is assessed via short answer questions together with a work based project and a personal journal that encompasses proof of competence at work and a record of continuous professional development.
On successful completion of the course you can go on to the level 5 course in facilities management, or there is an option to do a foundation degree in management. You will then have the opportunity to extend the foundation degree into a degree.
