What's the Digital Print Production course about?

This NVQ is aimed at those already employed in a digital print production role and covers origination and pre-press operations, with options which include producing digital artwork and digital printing. The qualification is made up of both mandatory and optional/additional technical units which are selected to match the job role.

The course covers the following:
- Digital artwork for print
- Pre-press
- Digital printing

Observation of performance in the workplace by the assessor is the main method of assessment and provides most of the evidence of competence. Digital assessment and e-portfolios are an option for those who are comfortable with this method of submitting evidence.

What will I be able to do after I've completed this course?

On successful completion of the NVQ at Level 2, candidates can progress onto the NVQ level 3 in Digital Print Production.

What qualifications or experience do I need to do this course?

Applicants will need to show a good knowledge and understanding of their area of work and possess the skills needed to carry out a variety of tasks with limited guidance or supervision.
