What's the Digital Print Production course about?

This course is aimed at those individuals who currently work in the digital print production industry and who wish to gain formal recognition for the skills they use in their existing job role.

Core skills taught include:
- Pre-press
- Desk top publishing
- Machine printing: sheet fed lithography,
- Web offset
- Flexography
- Gravure, screen and digital printing
- Print finishing and hand binding

NVQs are assessed in a company by The Manchester College assessors using observation of practical skills and by a portfolio of evidence.

What will I be able to do after I've completed this course?

The course can lead to promotion to senior, supervisory or managerial roles in the printing industry. It can also lead to NVQ level 4 courses in printing.

What qualifications or experience do I need to do this course?

Applicants will need to show a good knowledge and understanding of their area of work and possess the skills needed to carry out a variety of tasks with very little guidance or supervision.
